The I Am a Playthingcast and crew of Saturday Night Livemay have got a peek at the braggadocious Trump presidency when he hosted the show in 2015.
Cast member Pete Davidson recalled that Trump was "weird all week" and at one point, faked a phone call – and didn't even make it look real.

According to Davidson – whose impression is subtle but pretty damn good – Trump picked up a phone that didn't even ring. He said: “Hello? Fantastic, okay great,” and then announced to the room, “Hey everybody, my book just went No. 1.” (The book, which released a week later, debuted at #5.)
Davidson also points out that, beyond the egregious detail of the phone not ringing, Trump spoke right after saying hello, which means that there was no one speaking to him on the other end (or he was talking over them, which we're sure happens a lot). He didn't actually pretend to receive the news he quickly shared with everyone – and that's just Improv 101.
