Yordano Ventura and Watch Hollywood Sex Fantasy (2001)Andy Marte were both killed in car accidents in the Dominican Republic on Sunday, and while their deaths aren't related, there is one crazy connection between the two MLB players.

Ventura, a starting pitcher, was 25 years old, in the midst of a bright young career with the Kansas City Royals. Marte (33), on the other hand, struggled at the big league level, and spent the past two seasons playing in Korea.

Ventura pitched his first full major league season in 2014, Marte's last in MLB.

But here's where it gets spooky.

Marte played his last MLB game on August 6, 2014, as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The opponent? Kansas City Royals.
