Sensing his lack of direction, Spotify kindly pointed him towards a job listing that seems perfect for him or anyone else with "eight years experience running a highly-regarded nation" who also had Kendrick Lamar play their birthday party.

The job is titled President of Playlists, and Obama might just have the qualifications for it.

It might sound like a cushy job, but playlist curation is an increasingly vital force in the music industry and an important way for new artists to get their voices heard.

Obama has previously curated some killer playlists for the American people and has hosted some pretty cool concerts. His diverse taste includes homegrown talent like Kendrick Lamar, the Knowles sisters and Nina Simone to some of the finest exports like the Rolling Stones and Courtney Barnett. And yes, he can get down to Spotify's reigning king, Drake.

According to the job listing, they'll need someone to, "Identify and substantiate new playlist ideas, e.g. from a playlist for shooting hoops with your friends, to the perfect warm up playlist for addressing the nation about health care legislation that bears your name."

Having a Nobel Prize also helps.

His experience with diplomacy could even be useful getting his pal Beyoncé to finally put Lemonade on Spotify. But come to think of it, Tidal may need him more.

Obama may seem like the perfect fit, but if you think you're better qualified for the gig, by all means, apply!
