Hotel Wi-Fi is The Sex Files A Dark XXX Parodya hassle. You typically have to connect by filling out a web form with some details (it's extra annoying when email is required), and then you have to repeat that on all the devices you own.
Apple is working to make this process a lot easier, and we might see the results pretty soon.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman (via 9to5Mac), Apple's iOS 19 will come with a feature that will automatically sync public Wi-FI networks across all of your devices. You'll still have to fill out that web form once, but once you do that, you won't have to worry about it anymore, as all your devices will connect automatically.
It's unclear how this would work, or whether it would require hotels and other public Wi-Fi vendors to upgrade their systems in some way, but it sounds like a pretty big upgrade from entering your name and number several times in a row (and if you're traveling with kids, like I often do, the number can go to double digits).
Apple's iOS 19 will likely be announced in June, followed by a launch in September. The new version of Apple's mobile operating system is also rumored to come with a fresh design, improved and expanded Apple Intelligence (including a smarter Siri), an updated Health app, and more.
