"A real dump" is supposedly how the president views the White House, and even though the White House denies Trump said this, it set everyone off.

The White House is America's pride and joy. It's one of the most celebrated and recognizable buildings in the world. To live in the historic mansion is a privilege and an honor. Even if Trump said this jokingly, Americans obviously aren’t laughing.

UPDATEAug. 2 6:42 p.m. PT: Trump tweeted a response more than a day after the Golf.com piece came out. He called the quote about calling the White House "a dump" fake news and "TOTALLY UNTRUE."
