LOS ANGELES -- Hot off his Emmy win for Mr. Robot,Romance Movies | Adult Movies Online Rami Malek has signed on to play Freddie Mercury in the long-gestating Queen movie Bohemian Rhapsody, which will now be directed by X-Men maestro Bryan Singer, Mashablehas confirmed.

20th Century Fox and New Regency will co-finance the project, which will be produced by Graham King of GK Films, who has been developing the Queen movie for nearly a decade.

Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything) wrote the script, which has been approved by original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor, who will serve as music producers.
