The Watch online Fast Lane to Malibu (2000)New York Giants' season ended on Sunday -- but the team's blowout loss to Green Bay in the NFL Wild Card playoffs wasn't their biggest embarrassment. It was their wild Miami yacht party.
After the Giants beat Washington in the regular season finale last weekend, a handful of Giants players flew to Miami, went clubbing and ended up partying on a yacht the next day, less than a week before the playoff matchup with the Packers.

So naturally, when the Giants got smoked by Green Bay, 38-13, the yacht excursion resurfaced.
The New York tabloids were quick to blame the loss on the yacht party on Monday.

Throughout Sunday's game, each player's performance boiled down to the question — "was he on the boat?"
Odell Beckham, Jr. catches that ball if he hadn't taken a trip to Miami.

That's three big drops for the Yacht Club: 2 by Odell, 1 for a TD, and 1 for a TD by Shepard. It's so much colder than it was in Miami!

Compare that to Randall Cobb, the Packers wide receiver who notched three touchdowns on Sunday.

Now that we've all gotten that boat thing out of our system, however, it's time to talk about the fact that it likely had nothing to do with the Giants loss.
The Packers are a flat out better team, with more playoff experience and more big games under their belts. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers proved it on Sunday, passing for 362 yards and four touchdowns.
For the Giants, though, the whole boat thing just happened to make the loss sting a yachtlot more.
