The Erotica Manila Episode 3New York Times is not afraid of Donald Trump or his lawyers.
Twitter users are praising the publication for standing its ground after Trump threatened to file a lawsuit for his "damaged reputation."
SEE ALSO: The New York Times lawyers are not having any of Donald Trump's lawsuit threatsAfter Trump's lawyer issued a letter on Wednesday night demanding the Times take down an article that reported Trump had allegedly groped two women, things got very interesting.
Trump's lawyer demanded the Timesissue a retraction and an apology for the damage the article caused. Quite frankly, the Times didn't give AF.
David McCraw, a lawyer for the Times responded to the demand with a bad-ass public letter, which states:
We published newsworthy information about a subject of deep public concern. If Mr. Trump disagrees, if he believes that American citizens had no right to hear what these women had to say and that the law of this country forces us and those who would dare to criticize him to stand silent or be punished, we welcome the opportunity to have a court set him straight.
Naturally, Twitter users celebrated the Times' casual shutdown with excellent reaction GIFs:
