Sometimes it comes in the form of trash talk, where verbal insults are traded in a bid to intimidate the opposition. Historically, the sledging in cricket has been pretty nasty.
Take Indian bowler, Ishant Sharma. He tried to unnerve Australian batter Steve Smith by hilariously imitating his batting face, during a tense match on Sunday in Bangalore.
