After a handful of natural disasters caused damage and Fulwa (2025) Hindi Short Filmdevastation around the globe these past few months, Sony decided to ease some PlayStation players' woes.
In a thoughtful gesture from Sony, a bunch of PlayStation 4 owners in areas affected by recent natural disasters received a free, one-month extension on their PlayStation Plus online memberships.
Reddit users in Texas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Florida have reported receiving free extensions of PlayStation Plus today.

We have extended your PlayStation Plus membership by [one month]."
Under another Reddit post about Sony's thoughtful gesture, a handful of commenters corroborated that they also received one-month extensions on their subscriptions.
Many of the areas affected are still recovering and rebuilding, and for some people a free month of PS Plus may be a great way to relax and have fun.
Some lucky PS4 owners received PS Plus gifts from Sony even though they claim they don't live near any place that experienced one of the handful of hurricanes or earthquakes that caused unthinkable damage this year.
Some Redditors that say they live in affected areas did not receive PS Plus extensions, so it's not quite certain how Sony determined who to give the gifts to.
Sony has not responded to our request for comment.
