Over the weekend, a teenage girl was filmed by her friends on the other side of their hotel balcony, attempting to "balcony hop" to an adjacent room. The unsettling footage shows the teen edging along the building's exterior, just inches from free fall.
The identity of the teen has not been released, but the Snapchat footage, acquired by 7 News, has many concerned for the safety of partiers. In 2012, during the celebrations at Schoolies, a 17-year-old girl fell to her death from a high-rise balcony.
Local police issued warnings to the public after the footage surfaced, in which an onlooker can be heard saying, "this isn't going to be funny when she falls."
