She won five Olympic medals. She met Zac Efron. Now,Female Instructor’s Strange Private Lesson (2025) Simone Biles will carry the U.S. flag during the Rio Olympics' closing ceremony.
The ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, will conclude a sensational Olympic Games for the gymnast, who won one bronze medal and four gold medals, including the women's all-around gold.
"It's an incredible honor to be selected as the flag bearer by my Team USA. teammates," said Biles in a statement. "This experience has been the dream of a lifetime for me and my team and I consider it a privilege to represent my country, the United States Olympic Committee and USA Gymnastics by carrying our flag."
Biles, who is widely regarded as the best gymnast of all time, is only the second gymnast to serve as a U.S. Olympic flag-bearer. The first was Alfred Jochim, who carried the flag during the 1936 Opening Ceremony.
