As news broke Friday morning that Facebook had purchased Giphy,Watch Honest Thief Online the internet spiraled into panic mode about its most valued resource: Mark Zuckerberg GIFs.
Would the famously criticism-averse CEO, and proud new owner of a GIF search engine, strip Giphy of the scores of Zuck GIFs that populate its platform? Thankfully, Giphy's head of content and editorial, Tyler Menzel, was quick to assure the world that, uh, he's pretty sure (?) nothing is happening to the Zuckerberg GIFs?
"Hearing reports that we are taking down GIFs, specifically of Mark Zuckerberg," wrote Menzel on Twitter. "Want to clarify that this is not true as we only take down content that violates our guidelines. We are looking into the issue immediately, but can confirm we have not intentionally taken anything down[.]"

However, as of the time of this writing, a quick search for "Mark Zuckerberg" on Giphy reveals pretty much what you would expect.
There's the classic "blink."
And, oh yeah, that water sip.
The smile is not to be overlooked.
And that time Zuckerberg had his weird AI make toast? Who can forget that classic?
So take a deep breath, internet. Your Mark Zuckerberg GIFs are safe — at least for now.
