Microsoft on Monday treated its Preview members to a sneak peek at Xbox Arena, its streamlined approach to esports tournaments in the living room. Users can sign up for daily competitions, making it the easiest way to get involved in esports from home to date.
But it wasn't immediately clear what contestants would be playing for. A Microsoft rep told Mashablewhat to expect from future successful Arena campaigns, including:

The cash transactions won't be handled by Microsoft, however -- that'll run through third parties that are simply using the Arena platform. Organizers can determine for themselves the amount of entry fees and prize payouts.
Microsoft also said it plans to host free tournaments as well.
So which games are we talking about?
Arena's first supported game is Killer Instinct, but Microsoft is working with several different developers on a variety of Arena titles. Some to expect are: Smite, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, World of Tanks, H1Z1: King of the kill, and of course FIFA.
No date has been set yet for a full rollout of Arena, but it's expected to come soon.
