It's rare that the Queen is recorded in conversation, and even rarer to catch her joking about her own death on camera.
She and Attenborough are talking about climate change, and how the species of trees present in her gardens may be entirely different in 50 years' time.
"I won't be here though," says the Queen.
The pair also have a light-hearted exchange about a sundial placed squarely in the shade. Furthermore, according to ITV, she makes a joke about President Donald Trump.
The programme will air Monday, 16 April, on ITV.
