Ride a Lyft,Bhasad (2022) Hindi Web Series get a frequent flyer mile.
Customers who take Lyft to the airport will be able to earn points with JetBlue, the companies announced Tuesday.
The partnership between the ride-sharing company and the airline is the first by Lyft to reward continuous or loyalty travel, rather that just first-time users or other temporary promotions.
Lyft users will have to link their Lyft account with a JetBlue account to earn points. They can earn points on rides to or from airports in the U.S.
JetBlue points earned through Lyft max out at 1,200 a year, which comes out to around $30 to $40 toward a flight.
The option to book a Lyft will be integrated into JetBlue's mobile app. The two companies will also launch an advertising takeover of JetBlue's terminal at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.
"Travel is a top use case for Lyft, and it continues to grow," Lyft Vice President for Partnerships Oliver Hsiang told Mashable.
The JetBlue partnership is Lyft's second with an airline. The ride-hailing company partnered with Southwest Airlines last March for first-time Lyft users to earn Southwest airline points.
Uber launched a similar partnership with American Airlines last year with limited points benefits.
