While Laverne Cox was only an awards presenter at the Grammys Sunday night,Glorious she used those precious seconds to bring attention to an upcoming transgender rights case.
With the audience's applause still going from her entrance, the flawless actress immediately told the crowd all about the #StandWithGavin campaign.

To the uninitiated, Grimm is a 17-year-old transgender boy who is facing a legal battle against the school board of Gloucester County, Virginia to let him use the boy's bathroom.
According to the ACLU, Grimm is forced to use a "converted utility closet or another, separate, stigmatised space every time he needs to use the restroom during the day," because he is barred by the school board to use the same facilities as his peers.
When Grimm's parents informed the school of his gender in the 10th grade, the principal and the school initially treated him as a boy for all purposes -- including use of the restroom.
But then residents of Gloucester County complained, putting pressure on the board to pass a policy to bar kids with "gender identity issues" from using the bathroom.
It passed, and Grimm was prohibited from using the boy's restrooms.
Grimm filed a lawsuit at the end of his sophomore year against the school board, saying the policy deprives his rights to equal education opportunities under federal law and his constitutional right to equal protection. Now in senior year, Grimm's case has reached the Supreme Court and will be heard on Mar. 28.
It only took nine seconds on stage, but Cox's shoutout has brought thousands of new eyes to Grimm's plight.
