LOS ANGELES -- Major League Baseball is Watch Project Power Onlineplaying ball with the digital entertainment world.
MLB and AwesomenessTV are teaming up for a new series called Out of My League, which debuts on Sept. 19. Mashable got an exclusive look (above).
Shot in and around Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, the series follows Claire (digital influencer Lauren Elizabeth Luthringshausen), a die-hard Dodgers fan visiting her dad in L.A. for the summer.
Fellow YoUTuber Brian Redmon co-stars as Chase, "a surfer who knows little about baseball." In the clip, he spots his crush (Claire, sitting at far left) in the crowd and gets the courage to approach her -- but pulling her away from the game won't be as easy as he thought.
Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star center fielder Joc Pederson also makes a special appearance.
To date, AwesomenessTV now boasts 90,000 channels and is home to talent management company Big Frame, DreamWorksTV, Awestruck (a network for millennial moms) and Awesomeness Films.
In addition to the new MLB series, the digital entertainment network recently greenlit new seasons for its popular series Royal Crushand Guidance and t@gged.
