Don't these things have Watch Lamog Onlineweight limits on them?
More than 10,000 people flocked to one of China's glass bridges, when admission was free for the weekend, to mark its official opening.
It usually costs 50 yuan ($7.30) per person to enter, according to a promotional flyer.
The bridge hangs 96 metres (315 feet) above a 216 metre (708 feet) stretch between two mountains at the Tianlongchi park in Pingdingshan, Henan.
For comparison, this is how the bridge looks like on a regular day with fewer people on it:
Construction on the glass bridge began in October last year, and it recently opened in April.
While the sight of thousands of people on the glass looks alarming, state-run media claims that it's perfectly safe.
The People's Dailysaid that the bridge, with its 1-inch glass sheets, is rated to bear up to 3,000 kg per square meter (614.4 pounds per sq ft) -- the equivalent of four standard dairy cows on a square meter of glass.
But it doesn't make it any less terrifying to look down at the drop.
