Shenzhen-based drone maker DJI released the DJI Air 3 on Watch Raw Talent OnlineTuesday, promoting it as having longer battery life and improved image quality compared to its predecessors. The first drone in DJI’s Air Series to offer dual primary cameras and omnidirectional obstacle sensing, the Air 3 remains lightweight at 720 grams, which the company says makes it easy to maneuver. The wide-angle and medium telephoto cameras on the Air 3 deliver improved image quality, capturing 48MP photos and 4K videos at 60 frames per second with high dynamic range (HDR), according to DJI. The drone utilizes a 1/1.3-inch CMOS wide-angle camera and a 1/1.3-inch CMOS 3x medium tele-camera. Compared with its predecessor, the DJI Air 2S, which was able to stay in the air for up to 31 minutes, the new device can fly for as long as 46 minutes. [ZOL, in Chinese]
